“It was clearly a game changer, but more than that, it was the first dress I was ever designing for a red carpet.” — Nicolas Ghesquière. In the second episode of the series, the Women’s Artistic Director reminisces with House Ambassador Jennifer Connelly about their first project together, which led to a friendship spanning over two decades.

Actually I loved the outfit she wore on Labyrinth. I had the same color vest and the same shoes she wore in that movie.

I urge Louis Vuitton to immediately cease the use of real animal fur in all products. As one of the world’s most influential luxury brands, Louis Vuitton has the power to set the standard for ethical fashion. Unfortunately the company continues to sell items made with mink, fox, raccoon dog, and other real animal fur, maintaining supply chains tied to both farmed and wild-caught animals.
The fur industry is built on unnecessary suffering. Animals on fur farms live in cramped, barren cages and are killed in brutal ways, while wild animals trapped for fur endure agonizing pain before death. In today’s fashion landscape, where hundreds of brands have adopted fur-free policies, continued use of real fur is cruel, outdated, and incompatible with modern values.
Activists, ethical fashion advocates, and consumers worldwide have been calling on Louis Vuitton to change course. From demonstrations outside storefronts to public campaigns, the message is clear: fur has no place in modern luxury. It’s time for Louis Vuitton to join the rest of the industry and adopt a permanent, global fur-free policy.
Please take this urgent step and demonstrate that luxury can be both innovative and compassionate. As a conscientious customer, I will closely monitor Louis Vuitton’s progress on this important issue.
