Vacherot could win more in 2026
It should have been Rune but I think he’s done for. Maybe Fonseca or Tien most likely.
There are a few players that I believe have the potential to win a major in the coming years, but maybe not in 2026, I’m thinking of Auger-Aliassime, Draper, Mensik, Rune, Fonseca or even Zverev and Shelton . Most of them already have the shots / technical skills to challenge any player. But currently I don’t think any of them have the full package necessary to beat Sinner and/or Alcaraz in the latest rounds of a major. Some lack the physical endurance/movement (Mensik, Fonseca, Draper), others the tennis IQ and shot selection to destabilize Sinner or Alcaraz (Auger-Aliassime, Fonseca, Mensik, Rune, Shelton), others lack the mental strength to win enough pressure points at critical moments of a match against the top 2 (Zverev, Shelton). However, things can change, players can evolve, injuries can happen, so at the end of the day anything is possible. Finally some uncertainty would be a good thing for tennis, so let’s hope that we will have some surprises in 2026 !
I will go with Daniil Medvedev/Zverev/Djokovic/Fritz
