When a mysterious object from deep space arrives on Earth, scientists Dr. Leslie Gaskell (Jeff Morrow) and Dr. Arnold Culver discover that it is guided by an alien intelligence. Soon, a colossal machine emerges from the Pacific Ocean and begins draining the planet’s power supply, growing stronger with every energy source it consumes. As the unstoppable giant advances toward Los Angeles, Gaskell, Vera Hunter (Barbara Lawrence), and their colleagues race to find a way to stop a machine designed to harvest the Earth’s energy for a dying alien civilization.
