I have a book from the 80’s that talked about getting us humans off Earth and then to the Moon and beyond. One segment said NASA planned to use the Space Shuttle to transport stuff to the Moon. Um, no. The goals now seem reachable, but we’ll see how much we do with what we have. I’d rather see us go 240,000 miles in a few days that 240 Million to Mars that will take months or even years.
The endeavor to go to the moon should pave our way to Mars and beyond. We must go on and beyond to sustain our civilization for longer.
