A bright flash of gamma rays from the constellation Boötes that lasted nearly one minute came from a kilonova and it’s challenging what astronomers know about some of the most powerful events in the universe.

Why in the world would all three gravitational wave detectors be offline at the same time yes it’s nice to have three going so you can zero-in on the direction of the event but it’s still good to have one going so you can detect the event

GRBs are amazing, their ability to release that much energy is incomprehensible to me, I’m sure glad the very powerful ones are not directly at the Earth, as we could be in serious trouble, Thank You Ardit and all the awesome folks at Cosmoknowledge, have a safe and enjoyable weekend everyone. 👊 😎

Shut up. Take my money…. I am gonna go there and dig for gold…… But seriously If a gamma ray burst would burst in our neighborhood and was directed at earth? We would be become instinct in a very fast way. We are only protected by their direction and distance. These are one of the most violent bursts we can imagine. Close by and directed at us? bye bye mankind and all live on the planet earth with it. We just can’t do nothing to shield us from these event. A real scenario. A massive impact by an asteroid and comet. Talk to the Dinosaurs about it. Wait they are extinct.. These so called MELE’s (Massive Extinct Level Events) have happend in the past and will occur again. So for now? Keep up laughing while you can…… now…… 😂😂I pressed a thought into your head…. Make no mistake. It could be real one day…. But not today…..
