Miley Cyrus was overcome with emotion while paying tribute to her late godmother, Dolly Parton, during a concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles Friday night.
The “Flowers” singer broke down in tears as she reflected on her special bond with the country music legend, who died in August at age 80.
“Me and Dolly, we are eternal. Nothing in this life could ever tear us apart,” Cyrus told the crowd, which included famous faces like Selena Gomez and Christina Aguilera, according to video footage from the performance.
“And I’m going to see her again. And I can’t f–king wait because I miss her,” she added, wiping tears from her eyes with a tissue.

Oh please. Grieve in peace not publicity.
Grief is not limited to a time or place. Talking about Dolly is hard for her as they were so close. Especially because she was her Godmother and mentor.❤❤
@luvjesus12This part. I’ve broken down, just completely lost myself outside of a whole foods, unexpectedly. I just saw, smelled, or I don’t know what but it hit me like a wave. I know I probably looked crazy. And at the time a little embarrassed. But I know I shouldn’t be because grief is a fickle thing. It comes & it goes for however long you’re here for so many people. Let her grieve, speak, cry. I get it. And I hope others who don’t get it can find some compassion to, as well.
@maniicKITTYY I found out my sister has breast cancer this week on top of the 7 years I have been battling it too. I have cried half the week over the thought of losing my sister. Then I wake up today ( after the mean grieving post) and found my 60 year old brother in law passed in his sleep. All of this is a shock and yes I have moments I am sorry of ok and then I lose it. Death is a rough deal😢😢
in the 80s Dolly and Kenny came to Dallas and that round stage and I was pretty much very close and I love them both
What a beautiful tribute to Dolly, RIP Dolly Parton!
Drama queen on full throttle.
