Was there today . It’s breathtaking in person.
Thank you Monique, Caleb and team. I may not live to see this done, but its a joy to see the progress over the last 15 years. More power to you and your team. God speed!
I would give just about anything to be able to live near enough to go work there free every single day until I die
I was there yesterday!! (April 29, 2026). A crane was up. Got nice photos of him pointing.
I looked around and every one was crying!
To where it happened in his mind. We are happily not there yet.
All boof 😂 they blasted it left the head and finger why no videos of them carving the head and finger
I lived in the USA for 20 years as a brit. I arrived as a 15 year old snot nosed little kid and left when i was 35. I went to high school and college in the USA but an article on the BBC news page informed me of this. Not one mention of this in either school text books or anything else. Not even daily newspapers i read for that whole time mentioned this. Crazy Horse himself is vaguely mentioned in american culture and i knew of his warrior status but i do not recall ever learning that he took on the US cavalry and won though. Maybe this is why it got …..”forgotten”. Awesome statue
What a beautiful tribute to an American Native Hero Amen
I remember seeing them working on it in the 1960’s. Will they ever finish it.
