Mark Geragos says a Reuters report claiming the FBI had dismissed the Nancy Guthrie ransom notes was wrong—and that the FBI moved quickly to correct the record. According to Geragos, internal disagreements and early investigative missteps led to conflicting information before the bureau publicly reaffirmed that some of the ransom notes were still being taken seriously.
