The trial against former college football player Blaise Taylor is set to begin after he was returned to Nashville from Utah to face two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors allege Taylor secretly poisoned his pregnant girlfriend, Jade Benning, at her apartment in February 2023, causing the deaths of both Benning and her five-month-old fetus, whom authorities say Taylor fathered. If convicted, Taylor could face life in prison, life without parole, or potentially the death penalty under Tennessee law.

Dang….it scares me that we have an ADA that is so hell bent on her own narrative more than seeking truth. Normally I’m sitting on the prosecution’s side, but this trial has been insane and I kinda think this guy is getting railroaded.
Between the extremely racist, and one of the rudist judges I have ever seen and the whiny lady DA, I hope the case gets overturned. This was never gonna be a fair trial with this judge and prosecutor.
I know there’s a jury, but when the defense is constantly put down, it just is so obviously one-sided….it’s gross and makes me wonder if the “good ‘old boy” network is the way of things still.
