Rick Chow, a former South Carolina convenience store owner, is on trial for allegedly shooting and killing 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton. Prosecutors claim Chow chased the teen from his store in May 2023 after falsely accusing him of stealing several bottles of water from the store, then allegedly shot him in the back. The state also says Carmack-Belton was carrying a gun that night but had no intention of using it. Chow is charged with murder in connection to the teen’s death.

That backpack WAS in a drainage ditch! NOT the place where the prosecution pointed to on the drone footage AND it was thrown a CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE from where that child was murdered. He was still running for his life parallel to the point where the backpack was found. He would have had to be pretty strong to be running top speed and throw that bag for it to land that far away from the path he ran. If we are to believe he was running as he threw it, how could it have landed on the pavement & not in the brush?? WAS THAT BAG EVER TESTED TO SEE IF CHOW DNA WAS ANYWHERE ON IT????
I know the trial is over, but so many don’t understand. The survelliance tape shows Cyrus taking 4 bottles of water out of the fridge, it also shows he returned every bottle back on the shelve.. he stole nothing! Maybe he realized he forgot the money to pay.. at the same time the wife was watching him like a hawk… how did this happen?
