Jury selection begins for Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy after she killed her three young children inside the family’s home in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, were found with exercise bands around their necks. Prosecutors contend Clancy intentionally strangled the children, while her defense argues she was suffering from severe postpartum depression and psychosis that left her unable to understand her actions. Jurors are expected to hear testimony from medical experts, investigators, and family members as they determine whether Clancy is criminally responsible for her children’s deaths.

I’m reliving the Andrea yates case. Different weapon same issues and constant warning signs and pleas for help. I am all for she definitely is guilty of unaliving her children and needs permanent care. Never released

i’m open to seeing the evidence, but I never heard of someone being in psychosis and being so strategic at the same time. That would be my only reasonable doubt.

The FDA has warned that any abrupt change in antidepressant dosage—starting, increasing, decreasing, stopping suddenly, missing doses, or rapidly switching from one antidepressant to another—can, in some people, be associated with serious neuropsychiatric reactions, including suicidal thoughts or behavior, agitation, hostility, mania, and psychotic symptoms.

Adding a second antidepressant can also increase the risk of adverse effects and drug interactions in some individuals.

Antidepressants are not medications to start, stop, or change casually. Abrupt withdrawal can trigger severe psychological and physical symptoms. For many people—especially those who have taken them long term—a slow, carefully supervised taper may be the safest approach. There is no one-size-fits-all schedule, and some people require many months or longer to taper successfully.

These men know that their wives have extreme postpartum depression and anxiety, yet they still keep pumping the women with babies. These men should be held accountable when something like this happens. Prime example Andrea Yates
