Nurse Meggan Sundwall is accused of killing her friend, Kacee Terry, by giving her a fatal dose of insulin in an alleged attempt to collect money from a life insurance policy she believed named her as the beneficiary. Utah prosecutors say Terry appeared afraid of upsetting Sundwall and would do whatever she could to keep her happy. Investigators say that dynamic allegedly led Terry to lie to Sundwall about having terminal cancer, something prosecutors claim Sundwall then used as an opportunity to administer a deadly insulin dose, believing it would allow her to collect the insurance payout. Sundwall’s defense claims Terry wanted to end her life and their client did not administer the fatal dose.

It’s so sickening to see their whole “friendship” was literally based around how to get Casey to die faster. Wow.
So Meggan is in dire financial distress, yet she’s looking up vacations the night she thinks she’s getting a big life insurance pay out.
If the jury is smart and uses logic and common sense, the cell phone evidence fully cooks Meggan’s goose.
So Meggan, as a nurse, knows Kacie is lying. She knows there is no surgery that can make someone absorb medication. Meggan knows that the vitals Kacie sends are a lie. She knows it’s Kacie pretending to be a nurse (HIPPA). Yet Meggan is playing along and encouraging this severely mentally ill woman to unalive herself. Then Meggan gets tired of the game and takes action. That’s a murderer.
Not playing Meggan’s police interviews for the jury is a huge mistake. And it’s on this judge for refusing to allow enough time to present a trial fair to both parties. Shameful.
