The murder trial of David Prevatte begins nearly nine years after his five-year-old niece, Paitin Fields, was found unresponsive in 2017. Paitin died three days later, and an autopsy found signs of sexual trauma and strangulation. Prevatte was identified as a suspect in 2018 and arrested in 2022 after a years-long investigation. He faces charges of first-degree murder and multiple sex offenses. Follow the latest testimony and courtroom developments live.

Coming in here after the idiot juror misconduct caused a mistrial. Also makes it sound like 1 juror may have known the family or somehow was planted.

This lawyer cannot keep names straight to save his life. He keeps calling Savanah “Samantha”, later on in the trial he keeps mixing up Paitin and Savanahs names. The very last day, he is coughing so bad 8t sounds like he has pneumonia himself. I didnt want to watch this whole trial but now I feel compelled to after seeing the end where the mistrial was declared, and some long “clips” (1-2hours long for a couple of them). David stays smirky, cocky, rocking in that chair and makes himself look so guilty but also so sure he will not be convicted!!! Its crazy.

I’m sorry I know the defendant seems awfully cocky but I cannot help but get creeped out and a weird feeling when the SANE nurse is describing the pictures and the way the Judge is uncomfortably staring at them. Am
I the only one seeing this and feeling this way!?
I mean it’s sooooo gross and weird
