There was one moment in Patrick Clancy’s testimony in the Lindsay Clancy trial that stopped me completely.
The DA looked at him and asked: was she a good mother?
And Patrick Clancy said yes. She was a great mother.
I broke this down live on Court TV because I think that answer is one of the most powerful moments in this entire trial. It shows you exactly who Lindsay Clancy was before the medication. Before the wrong diagnoses. Before the system that was supposed to help her failed her completely.
He is reliving torture on that stand.
A man who proactively, consistently, and constantly did everything right to get his wife the help she needed.
Who told doctors the medications were making her worse.
Who watched the woman he loved spiral lower and lower into a state no one seemed to be able to stop.
And in turn — three innocent lives were lost.
This is a travesty of wrong diagnoses, wrong medications, and a medical system that did not listen to the cries for help that were right in front of them.
There is no winner in this courtroom. And that question — was she a good mother — is going to live in this jury’s mind for the rest of this trial.

I went through this in the 80’s I ran for help they put me in the hospital for a month they took me by ambulance I thought I was a monster. I feel like medical practice was more forgiving then. I understand this psychosis.and I feel for this young mother. This needs to be addressed
One of the meds she was on was accidentally given to my elderly mom by a reckless doctor. It gave her crazy psychosis. It happens too too much. Giving prescription dangerous drugs like mints. Thank you for a fantastic comment. Glad you’re okay!!!

Yeah, we know there’s no winner. There are so many people responsible for this. The mother. The Father. The family. The doctors. The pharmaceutical companies. All need to do time.

Have they ruled him out? I mean both could be true. She could have had severe postpartum and he could have harmed the kids and framed her. What is statistically more likely?
