Kirk Franklin joins Ferrari Simmons, BT, and Kayla on The Baller Alert Show. He discusses his choice to collaborate with GloRilla, defending her church background against critics who try to micromanage her spiritual process.
The conversation explores the realities of religious trauma, specifically addressing judgmental church culture, pastors driving Bentleys while members struggle, and the truth behind Druski’s satirical skits. Franklin shares details of his upbringing, noting he was adopted at age four by a 64-year-old widow born in 1908.
The hosts open up about their personal faith journeys, leading to an emotional discussion on the importance of Black men expressing their feelings and shedding tears.
