    Wait a sec, if this black hole is compressing intergalactic gas and making stars from this material then intergalactic space is filled with matter. We’ve never heard this before

    what about a star in the middle of the bootes void and far away from any galaxies (not confirmed but is almost certainly there)

    [i mean what kind of star forms in a place where one cubic meter has less than 1 atoms
