Kevin is funny AF in most of his roles but damn. Hearing about him being unaccountable and being a little bitch etc has finally been shown to my own eyes with his own words. Damn bro, you need that grub so bad you’re going to allow injustice for money? For executives and managers, sad. There should be Integrity no matter what you are in and who you think you need to answer to because you didn’t need to do this and 2nd to the point of getting successful people, it’s very different having white people roast other white people. You know racism is going to be present when you bring it in. You don’t invite the lion into the rabbits cage man. You didn’t win anything because money isn’t a representation of character. The more he talks about people not understanding just sounds like he thinks everyone is too dumb and ignorant to understand the complexity of allowing a bunch of your peers and cultural heritage to be disrespected for the preservation of your career and financial, economical status. The type of I gotta eat person but taking out of others mouths. Checking in and still being complicit doesn’t make you genuine and holding it down, it just makes you feel less guilt or look like a good guy when you’re not. This interview alone has put me entirely off, now I see him for what so many have said he is.

W. Kamau Bell hits it on the head. All the roasts, going back to the Dean Martin roasts, have the same pattern toward any Black person on the roast. It’s that the jokes about the white performers are individual to them and their career, the jokes about the Black performers on the panel are about Black stereotypes.
