I live across the street from his studio and it’s always so fun seeing his latest artwork on display. It always brightens my day and I love all the events and things he does all the time. It’s such a communal spot.

Walking & biking over to the A-to-Zoo during Covid was something that helped keep some sanity during a wild time. And I learned a bit too!
So many Portlanders know and love Mike’s art! But it’s also so special how he loves and incorporates community. His studio is across the street from a large park that I walk my dog to every day, and in addition to all the cool art he built a “free dog library” outside the building – a crate ALWAYS filled with tennis balls. 🥰 My dog gets so excited when we stop there on our way to the park.
