Oh dummies. She hates it not for the fame it gave her but the cost of nearly dying in real life from the constant shoots in cold freezing water that would be warmed up to a degree but would get cold naturally and to the point her health actually suffered a near fatal hypothermia accident( her blood veins in her legs were actually freezing up) from the shoot and nearly drowning (she wasn’t a good underwater swimmer)from the underwater shoots. Cameron pushes his lead actresses to the edge of sanity. He traumatized her and really traumatized Mary Elizabeth mastrantonio the actress from the abyss for nearly torturing them and killing them in their roles and demands of the shoots in freezing water. The abyss actress actually gave up acting partly because of it and Kate never wanted to work with Cameron again. Which is why in avatar 2 the way of water being another rigorous underwater shoot she asked for an exorbitant amount of money for her part to be in the film. She also was so traumatized by Cameron that she said hell no unless he paid her what is an insane amount of money of a supporting part of she was gonna go through that sh!t again with Cameron. It even shows in this clip on her face expression that it’s still there fresh in her memory which is why she said she remembers everything about Titanics shoot and why she made a subtle but noticeable stressed face and face quirk when Kelly asked her about it. The only actress to rough it out was sigourney weaver in aliens which wasn’t as bad in demand but then again she is a badass just like ripley herself and brave a lot of the high demand BS from Cameron. Which is why she’s the goat and favorite of Cameron and was given a bigger role in Avatar 2. Sigourney Weaver is in a league of her own as far as actresses go. Also she found leo a bit immature at the time of Titanic shoot and mentored him a little as she is older and more seasoned. In a way and Leo has mentioned this he has a lot to thank her for mentoring him on being a more serious actor from then to where he is now. Which is why I kinda think he also was pushed psychologically into liking younger women after he met and worked with Kate as he thanks for the experience but had his own issues and trauma from the demands of the shoot as well. Even when they reunited in recent years you can tell in their interactions that their relationship ended up not romantic but love for her as in an older sister. I swear fans and their uninformed fictional dumb head theories.
