After a nearly six-week-long trial, once-prominent South Carolina lawyer, Alex Murdaugh, 54, has been found guilty of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son, Paul, in 2021.
Now, a juror is speaking out about the verdict, which came after less than three hours of deliberation.

So the jury isn’t impartial and just admitted the majority started out thinking Alex is guilty (watch the jurors interview on Good Morning America)
If I was Alex, I would use this jurors words for another trial.
I think Alex is guilty but I’m not sure a juror can say they thought he was guilty at the very beginning. They are already biased.
You took the words right out of my mouth. If they were going to investigate the financial aspect of this then they should have taken the time to figure out where that money actually went to there’s no way he spent millions of dollars on pills, so where did it go, who did he owe money to? The prosecutor definitely prejudice, the jury bringing in the financial crimes.
OK, but how can two life sentences run consecutively? Are we going to bring him back to life after he dies so he can serve his second sentence?
It’s theoretical to make sure Justice is always served evenly and correctly/fairly.
@jessenickerson2333 thank you.
It’s for appeal purposes genius…. The chances of overturning a life sentence is slim to none. IF that hypothetically happened, then he has another to overturn which is even more slim to none…. Make sense?
I wonder if he can have blue lights and a badge in prison?
He was a lawyer not a cop
I don’t think you get the joke!
@ChooseWisely-77 LMAO 🤣 Nope
That’s only with the assumption that when you put your cell phone down and it locks that you’re automatically considered dead. The original coroner said that they could’ve died anywhere between nine and 930 that to me that assumption that you die when your phone locks is so far-fetched. I don’t think they’ve determined what Alex was actually doing with all that money and judging by the jail call bets, I
think the same people that were selling the drugs, we’re also doing illegal gambling, which was huge in that area. I think he owned a huge debt and it’s possible that he was at the kennels when those people arrived to send a message to Alec by killing his wife and son. He may be too afraid to say anything about them because his other family members are at risk this maybe so far fetched as well but I think when you’re about to send someone to prison for life, you have to look at all possibilities and rule them out. If they were considering the financial crimes, then they should have figured out where all of the money went to because clearly it wasn’t going to drugs alone.
I have thought about this possibility and similar ones after I found out what he was into. I mean the property Mossele was bought from his friend who wad a drug runner. Maybe it came with debts of a certain nature,
It is not always easy to determine exact time of death. Yet the fact Paul constantly was on phone was in conversation and didn’t even read next text. Didn’t take another step. Pretty sure he was dead.
He didnt kill them. this was a political trail and the jury are stupid. In 20 years this case will reopen and you would he is innocent.
I wish the jurors would shut up – everything they say can be used by the defense in an appeal. We want this man to stay in jail.
Hes already been convicted. Lol so they can speak all they want now.
@Quilesll How about he was already heading to prison on his financial dealings. This case smells 😢
@ninamartinez5171 I agree. Something isn’t right about this case. I’m not sure if Alex is withholding information that he has due to the fact that he is going to prison for the financial crimes. I don’t get the feeling that Alex killed them. I think he knows who did though. I’m sure he owed money to some seriously shady people who may or may not have came to collect when they were down at the kennels that evening.
@ChooseWisely-77 He definitely knows who did he was there he’s protecting someone else 🤔 im guessing his son or someone else ???
@ninamartinez5171 His son? Buster? Why would Buster kill them? Personally, I don’t think Buster has it in him. Also, his alibi is air tight. He was out of town, cellphone records show that. Alex’s best friend, the individual he bought Moselle from, was a know drug trafficker. Alex already has money laundering & manufacturing of narcotic charges prior to everything. I can’t believe that didn’t come up in trial. It’s like the whole prosecution knows more too. I’m guessing whatever it entails involves some other powerful people in that small town.
So … HOW does his voice on the video make him guilty of Murder exactly ? This is the best “reason” to convict ? Fact is .. Its all circumstantial evidence & conjecture. No direct evidence linking Mardaugh to Murder.
