Living in LA you run into Hollywood stars occasionally. Jamie Lee Curtis was one whom I have treasured for about 20 years now. It was her mother’s (who was in my 85 year old dad’s favorite movie of all time, Scaramouche) private birthday party at the now closed down L’Orangerie French restaurant. She was slowing dancing with her mom. My husband and I passed by her and she practically curtsied, smiled and nodded her head. We were just strangers and she treated us with such grace and class. Since then, she’s been one of my favorite down to earth human beings in my 46 years of life.

2023 was by far the worst year in Oscar history for nominations. Especially for acting. AMPAS decided to have a diversity year and nominate anyone who was black, Asian, Gay/Lesbian, Jewish etc. As a result people who are nominated do not deserve any recognition for their mediocre roles. But AMPAS is trying their best to push these movies down our throats. Pathetic affirmative action, diversity inclusion and as always the LGBT agenda.
Elvis was a disgrace to the King, Banshees of Inisherin was the Irish version of Dumb and Dumber, Aftersun was a painfully boring joke, Everything everywhere all at once was the Asian Moonlight (a crap film hyped up for the sake of diversity inclusion), Avatar was a money grab, All quiet on the western front was unfinishable, the Fablemans was Jew glorification, Tar and The Whale were all about the ongoing gay/lesbian agenda.
The only good movie so far was ‘To Leslie’ starring the wonderful Andrea Riseborough. It is the one true great performance of this years otherwise horrible nominations.

It really is SO odd that JLC has been working for so long in so many movies – types of movies – and she’s not even been *nominated*.
