    The only disappointing thing about this documentary is the lacking effort to get any pronounciations right – which I guess is typically American. Just read all these weird words and names out like in your native language 🙄

    Interesting to see why people immigrated to the US for freedom, times have changed!! Nowadays, a lot of people come to Germany from the US..

    I’m Tejana, Hispanic Texan. But the food featured is so Texan that I felt you were giving me the history of my Texan culture. The dish in the bar with pickles and onions, that’s how we eat brisket. I’ve had discussions with people on how chicken fried steak, milanesa (Hispanic dish) and schnitzel are basically the same thing. I never connected that they were the same thing. I wonder if milanesa also has a connection.
