I studied the period of history leading up to 1948 and after. Jews were buying land in the UK Administration with U.S. dollars and English pounds. Records are still available. After years of turning swamp lands they bought into agricultural land, the Arab villages used force to try to take them back. Any time the Jews took over more land, it was to make it better to defend several areas under attack between the areas. It was the Arabs trying to regain their former sold lands through military conquest that caused Israel to keep growing. There are some ethical questions. For example, in the 6 day war of 1967, when Israeli soldiers saw Syrians come down the Golan Heights with rocket launchers, they knew that this would give Israel the legal and moral right to annex the side of the mountain the Syrians were about to use to shell the farms below. However, the Israelis could have communicated with the Syrian military to warn them this means giving up the mountain. Also Arab historians will confirm that in 1948 it was the Arab armies that ordered the Arab population to abandon their homes and farms within Israel to make it easier to go in and march every Jew backwards into the sea although this was suppose to be a temporary move.

Stop the Genocide. Make Hamas stop taking positions below, above and next to civilians and using them as shields. Even if someday Palestinian authorities separate the number of civilians killed from the terrorists and it ends up that a few hundred civilians were killed, someone has to tell Hamas that all human life is precious, including their own people. If Hamas agrees that they don’t want to kill all the Jews in Israel and as the Arab armies tried to do in 1948, march all the Jews backwards into the sea, then the Arab communities can become like Israel, inventing medical and technical devices to make life better for the whole world.
