This will sound like an uneducated question..but if all of the universe is expanding and our galaxy is moving hundreds of thousands of miles per hour how are all the stars and galaxies in the same pla e?
For the same reason why a 22milion light year long galaxy fits on you mobile phone screen, scale and relativity.

@Dan-n-ButtersExpansion is faster than light. The expansion is happening everywhere and between galaxies. Not inside them because of gravity is holding them together!
Se we’re flying through space on speed roughly of 1,3 million mph, which sounds stupid fast, but not in terms of expansion rate!
But the stars we are seeing are part of our galaxy that is held together by gravity!
