Please be aware of the way your genetic data may be sold, misused, mistreated or held by unauthorized unknown parties / groups. There are reports the LDS Mormon church uses ancient family records to pray to convert the dead for their faith. Bizarre and may be just stupid nonsense but many people may find this offensive. Other companies use DNA for many different purposes. There are many scams and dubious practices. Good law enforcement and justice has legitimate reasons for DNA.

I would love to have someone like her go through my family tree. I didn’t grow up knowing my dad’s side, and my mom’s father wasn’t around either, but also my grandmother was the youngest out of 15 by *a lot* and I never knew most of her siblings. There’s a lot of my family history I don’t know, especially on my dad’s side.

It’s really hard in Pennsylvania because they came late into keeping records of births and deaths. My younger brother and sister have Irish in their dna, but i have none. Plus I am part Finnish and they are not.

I have a question for CeCe Moore. I remember when she had a show bringing families together when finding their DNA match. Always made me cry. And seen some shows how she helped law enforcement use DNA to solve crimes. I am really so glad that there is science to help in these important situations. I have a case that is very personal. I would like to ask CeCe a question as it is a familial DNA question. How would I get in touch with her. Time is of the essence.

It’s always hard to explain how my ethnicity and my genealogy are totally different. My ethnic group were Germans who immigrated to the Ukraine in the 1700s. They kept their language, culture, ethnicity, but each generation married local girls who were expected to speak, dress, act and assimilate German. So my ethnicity is German but my DNA is mostly Ruthinuan (native Ukrainian)
