    @DevonLum

    I’m Devon Lum, one of the producers of this video. What began this June as coverage of an explosive raid in Southeast L.A. snowballed into a months long investigation into how aggressive Border Patrol immigration enforcement tactics unleash chaos for federal agents, local law enforcement & U.S. citizens.

    Our team synchronized and analyzed hours of footage, dug through hundreds of legal documents, spoke to detainees and witnesses, accessed never before seen police body cam video, and interviewed former and current federal and local officials to piece together this story. Let us know if you have any questions and we will try to answer below. Thank you for watching.

    Why are people shocked ? This is the same United States that enslaved Black folks and used them for production and then called on slave catchers to capture them if they escaped as well as the same United States that scalped American Indians for their land and the same United States that prevented Black folks from voting as well as the same United States that held Japanese Americans captive for merely having ancestral ties …..this is the same United States terrorist. Except now —those slave catchers are army generals –ICE agents –Border patrol and whatever other job duty they claim in the name of Democracy ! This is the same United States !!!

    Your courage is only directed at civilians and the weak people…
    We saw your troops crying like kids in Afghanistan and Iraq.
