Hammering Raducanu does not mean she’s necessarily in top form 😂
Beating Raducanu not a big things. I mean players like Raducanu winning slams proves how WTA becomes jokes in recent years lol😂😂. During Chris/Martina era or during Graf/Seles era many superior players than Raducanu never wins slams or even reach a final.
I agree but sramkova was not an easy opponent though.

@GoVeganOrDieshe’ was tougher than Raducanu whose latest excuse is that Swiatek plays better against her than against other players 😂 why would Swiatek need to play better to beat a mediocre player 😂

Iga beat Emma 6-1, 6-0 their last meeting in AU. Let’s relax. Whatever you expected Iga going into this tournament shouldn’t change one bit.
Now in two rounds she plays rybakina or ostapenko ( who always seems to beat Iga) those wins would carry weight.
I’m Iga’s big fan but I also didn’t see anything special in this match. Of course I would be more worried if she had problems with Raducanu, but not having them doesn’t mean she’s in her best form. In Rome she won with Cocciaretto very easily just to lose with Collins making a lot of unforced errors. Let’s be serious for a while. Raducanu doesn’t serve that well, doesn’t hit the ball hard and flat, her game doesn’t trouble Swiatek at all, so why would this match mean something big? 😂

Paolini, Coco and other tennis players in the top 10 are playing doubles, why isn’t Iga doing it? This, in my opinion, is an important element that is missing, and would certainly bring benefits in the form of a varied game, contact with another tennis player and such a sense of playing for the sake of playing. Doubles play introduces more levity and joy because of playing together and contact with the other tennis player. And not just the constant living among the people on the team. This detachment from the world and other players does not work in Iga’s case, because contrary to what her “friend” psychologist Daria claims, Iga is not an introvert, she is a very open to people and the world girl.
