In 2018, I asked you all for recommendations on which Classic Doctor Who episodes to watch, but years went by, and I still hadn’t ventured into the classics. But guess what? 2023 marks the 60th year of Doctor Who, and I decided it was time to dive in headfirst!
In this video, I revisit my 2018 video, where I asked for episode recommendations, and I’m embarking on a journey to explore Classic Doctor Who with the help of your suggestions. Each Doctor gets their moment as I watch episodes from each era, and trust me, it’s a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Will I want to continue watching Classic Doctor Who after this journey? Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect in this video:
Doctor 1: The Dalek Invasion of Earth – A journey into the past, meeting Daleks on Earth, and the start of my Classic Who adventure.

The BBC planned to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who with the creation of an online archive of over 800 episodes. The network has now confirmed a new series, Tales of the TARDIS, that will launch alongside the new website.
The new spin-off was announced by the BBC, along with the website’s new official name, The Whoniverse. Beginning on November 1, the Whoniverse will be the official name, and dedicated home, for all the Doctor Who series and spin-offs on BBC iplayer. This includes Tales of the TARDIS, which is described as “the first original Whoniverse series.” This suggests more new series may be in the works.

I’m about to watch this video and I know this will either piss me off or make me happy someone found Dr Who. Ok, let’s roll the dice. Edit: This was enjoyable to watch. Not everyone puts this much analysis into this type of content.
I know I’m years too late so I’ll just say that I always thought one of the best stories was The Key to Time with Tom Baker as Dr Who.

Must watch Classic Who to have proper context of the Revival Who. A great example was the finale of “The Eleventh Hour” where the Doctor allows the Atraxi to scan his mind and you see every former Doctor, and then Matt Smith steps out and basically says “Do you really want to mess with me?” and the Atraxi flee in terror. 💠 Brilliant!
I think the Dalek invasion of earth movie is a bit better
