I suggest at least two days, I just came back and I visited all 5 villages, but it was August and it was crowded and so hot hiking was a bit difficult in the heat of summer.

How to get the ferry pass or private boat or small group boat??
You can purchase ferry passes at the local ticket offices or online for convenience. For private or small group boat options, checking with local tour operators is a great idea!

Does Corniglia to Vernazza take 45 mins on train ?
Nah, it’s only about 12-15 minutes by public transportation ! You’ll be in Vernazza before you even finish your gelato!
Two important tips that were skipped: (1) Plan your day for when there are no cruise ships in port at nearby La Spezia. Sometimes there are even two ships–totaling over 7,000 passengers–who will flood Cinque Terre from 9:30am to 5:00pm. (2) Don’t expect to walk into restaurants like Trattoria dal Billy (featured in this video) at sunset and just get a table. CT is a popular tourist spot and well-known restaurants like this will often have no table available unless you’ve booked in advance.
