Made this. I followed the recipe and itβs good for a bland palette but I think Iβll add more spices next time or sprinkle extra cinnamon on top
Ha ha. I use a Presto griddle. It is easier darling. If you have a bigger family, or people over for holiday breakfast often, a $45 griddle is a cheap, durable useful appliance that actually gets used. It is easy to clean and stores away well. Then you just plug it in anywhere on a countertop and you have your larger cooktop. Just add a little avocado oil and you are good to go with french toast, pancakes, breakfast sausage, hash browns….
Nooooooo use sour dough. Scramble the eggs in a bowl. Mix in a tiny splash of cream or half and half. Mix in a little vanilla, cinnamon and orange zest. Make your french toast as you normally would. Preheat the oven to ~200 and put your finished french toast on a plate and keep them warm till everyone is ready to eat. Use real butter and real maple syrup.
This is just as easy to do as they say. I’ve made this so many times and it’s always easy and a hit. Remember to spray the baking sheet though! I forgot that the first time.
they dropped the ball ob this one, i used the same sheet pan and followed instuctions but mine stuck and was soggy on the bottom. after unsticking them they looked awful i flipped them and browned them on the other side. then i tried again using parchment paper but i dipped them first instead of pouring the batter in the pain this way worked no sticking.
Amazing!!! Genius!!!
I just cooked french toast today with this recipe. It came out perfect. I utilized Brioche bread. Thank for your effortsππ
