6×6 posts look ridiculously large and are definitely overbuilt for this application, though I did like the dado explanation for how the panels fit in. Overall lacking in detail for how to work with these easy to use fence panels.

with the lower dado, how does it drain the water that it will fill with in the winter? just let it rot out?
I wondered the same thing. I thought about drilling drain holes on bottom rail but instead went with using a self leveling poly caulk which flowed very quickly and filled bottom dado as well locked fence panel in.

Frame boards look too thin for the 6×6 posts. Looks a bit flimsy overall compared to others I’ve seen.
Make sure to drill some holes in the bottom of the frame for water to drain out. Water can get trapped in that dado and cause rot
This was my first thought as well. That being said if you were to frame it in with 2×2’s the water will seep out through the small cracks between the 2×2 and 2×4/2×6 on the bottom of your build it that way.
Can you help? We are converting our 9.5 spans with hog wire on our front porch. How do we make the hog wire panels fit this and look good?
