How To Get Into Classic Doctor Who is a video by pupbenny in which I purport my theory as to the best way to start watching Dr Who 1963 to 1989 era. And most importantly, how to enjoy watching it! It seemed weird to me that I have been a Dr Who fan nearly all my life and yet hadn’t really watched much of old doctor who. Yet I kind of stumbled into a way of watching it that resulted in me absolutely LOVING it and have now nearly finished the entirely of the 63-89 original Doctor Who run. Obviously, this is just the way that worked for me, I’m not trying to say that this is something that works for everyone. I’m sure different ways to watch it exist. I think what’s beneficial about my method though is that even if you end up deciding not to watch all of Doctor Who, you’ll still have watched quite a chunk at least and made a decent judgement on whether it’s actually something you enjoy or not, which I feel like the standard methods don’t allow you to do. Ultimately, I found it interesting that I’ve ended up watching and enjoying nearly all of Classic Doctor Who and was curious and so analysed why exactly I now finally have done this after so long. What made me do it? Well, this video is basically that analysis. I figured I should make a video about it as I’d really love more people to give classic Dr Who a chance because there’s a lot out there, like me, who was watching it in a way that wasn’t conducive to them actually LIKING watching it, yet perhaps they would, like me, if they watched it the way I accidentally ended up doing. If that makes sense. Whatever. Here’s just one method of the starting point, where to start and how to watch old Doctor Who.

I think the reason I wanted to share the way I got into Classic Doctor Who is because I realised that I’d accidentally done a method that actually got me invested in the show and actually wanting to watch it. I’ve watched classic stories here and there throughout my life, yet only relatively recently (well a couple of years ago) watched it ‘properly’ and enjoyed it and so I was curious about analysing and diluting(?) why this was exactly.
Hello
Perhaps in a future video you could talk about the Cohen Zonen tripods from De Strijd der Werelden.
