the solution: spend more for slazenger.
Not only on tour, the quality of a lot of balls are horrible today. Tennis ball producing factories are cutting quality, for more profit. At first, it was done to restock the world faster, after covid, when there was a huge demand. Now companies think they can get away with cheaper materials, for the same prices.
This is awful. Those Dunlop ATP Dallas balls are pure organic fluffy turds. Players must step forward and get things straight.
As of clay, it would seem obvious that the conditions are very different from hard surfaces and a specific ball seems logical. Or putting it differently, searching a single ball for hard surfaces and clay seems to be extremely difficult and likely unreasonable.
Why nobody is calling the ball manufacturers to ask what directive they are getting and why instead of guessing randomly.. make some calls, get them on the mic or record., make them speak as a starting point
It’s 1:33pm in Wisconsin (USA), and the Tennis Channel is showing Vondrousova v. Garcia—a match that was played earlier and finished. However, Tennis Channel is NOT broadcasting the only live match: in Argentina, Fonseca v. Cerundolo. I have noticed and commented for a while that TC sucks. Proves it every single day. Shape up or ship out….
They need to change the court speeds.
When there is such wide claims from the players, just listen to them. They are asking for a ball per surface… get an open bid for a ball per surface every year and keep collecting feedback to maintain it, improve it or open for new bids.
