From the fiery heart of our Sun, the solar wind stretches out, shaping every corner of our solar system. But what exactly is this invisible force, and how does it affect the world around us?

    You know the one thing I’m proud of is being born and growing up in a Time when internet was either non-existent to very minimal. To this day in my late 30s I have made the internet an accessory in my life not a necessity..

    Meaning that if my internet goes out or I shut it off I will continue to be just fine. Entertainment wise none of my movies will be affected because they’re all on Blu-ray none of my games will be affected because they’re all offline story-driven single-player and On disc.

    Every day living and Communication: My car nor home is not one of dumb “smart” Crap. My car does not require electricity. All my bills can be paid either by internet or in person all my shopping is done in person plus I stock pile an my communication can rely on radio base. Basically if the internet even electricity was to just go dark I would still be living just fine an be ok.. On top of that I’m a survivalist

    LMAO I cannot say the same for today’s generation and alot of the people in my generation that have adopted in all digital dependent lifestyle… It’s going to be something else to see when the internet goes down and all these people lose their mind because they don’t know how to live outside of digital… There are more dependent then INDEPENDENT people today then there has ever been in the history of human beings..

      {تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
      1Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent –
      2[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed – and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving
      -الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا ۖ مَا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُتٍ ۖ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِنْ فُطُورٍ
      3[And] who created seven heavens in layers. You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return [your] vision [to the sky]; do you see any breaks?
      ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنْقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ
      4Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued.وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ 5And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze.}

    A good informative video. Nice Job!
    However, there is one thing you seem to have messed up and only visually – you show the heliosphere as a semi-sphere plowing through space like a comet, but more recent data say it is more of a croissant shape – possibly due to the Sun’s polar jets which you did not mention. These solar polar jets of solar wind are faster than the solar wind average, and so push further out – but due to the Solar System’s speed around the galaxy they are left behind, thus giving a croissant shape.

      Additional info not presented to enjoy:
      Mercury: has a teeny magnetic field, often smashed by Sun’s magnetic field when close, allowing the solar wind to hit surface and cause sputtering of elements, especially Sodium – which blow off as exosphere and causes a faint yellow glow mostly seen by probes on day side but mostly washed out by the Sun. When further away the Mercury magnetic field pushes the Solar Wind to the poles, where it hits the surface and sputters elements from there causing a yellow Sodium tail from the poles as Aurora.

      Venus: has no magnetic field but lots of air, so everywhere on the day side the solar wind hits the air it ionizes and causes faint glows mostly in ultraviolet. When Sun is very active, the Solar Wind blows some Carbon Dioxide air off the Venus into a tail which cools in space and may give a stronger glow.

      Earth: The only thing missed about Earth in the video was that the magnetic field of Earth has an intermittent flux transfer event/tube/portal between 4x to 1x the size of Earth about 8 min long on day side where solar wind flows through directly from Sun to Earth. The rest was very thorough.
      Moon: there is a teeny Boundary Exosphere of Solar ions/gases when it orbits out of Earth magnetic field (and also gases from Earth when it goes through Earth’s Exosphere tail.)

      Mars: you covered every thing, nice job!

      Jupiter & moons: has very strong magnetic field that stretches almost to Saturn’s orbit, which means the solar wind only affects things when they go outside the magnetic field – like Callisto. But Callisto is an ice ball so not much happens.

      Saturn: The magnetic field has a flux transfer event/portal sometimes on day side where solar wind flows through. Moon Titan with atmosphere spends 95% of time in Saturn’s magnetic field, but may have some solar wind interaction similar to Venus.

      Uranus: Has auroras, but with magnetic field 59 degrees off from its poles (which in turn are 97 degree from plane of Solar System) so are the faint Auroras are on points off to the side. Solar Wind is very weak/slow out here. The auroras are very short lived, only a few minutes.

      Neptune: Has auroras, but again with magnetic field with 4! magnetic poles 47 degrees off from planetary poles, so are the faint red or mostly ultraviolet Auroras not planetary polar. Again, Solar Wind is very weak/slow out here.

      @tommy-er6hhNice job, but it also crucial to note that FTEs occur on the dayside of Earth, where the Earth’s magnetosphere and the Sun’s magnetic fields are compressed together, in effect creating one giant and temporary magnetic field that can stabilize to complex structures and shapes like a solenoid or multiple interlocking solenoids (i.e., tubes, rope flux, etc..) that accelerate solar winds directly from the Sun to the Earth.

      That said, I really do like your descriptions.

      I also really like the video.

    This is one of the best synopsys of the nature of our star and how it generates space-weather! I’m a ham radio operator and have really been enjoying this latest solar cycle and the now energized ionosphere. I’ve been talking to folks all over the world on my amateur radio I have installed in my truck during my commute. Propagation has been awesome! Thanks Cosmoknowledge!!!

    Surah al-Anbiya
    {30. Do the unbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, and We split them apart? And We made from water every living thing. Will they not believe? }

      Islamic Logic:
      1. A Video talks of a Natural phenomenon that was described in detail by scientists after years of hard work.
      2. Take that idea and give credit to an unscientific hatebook that said nothing related to that.
