I’ll never forget that day, I was 10. My mother, brother, and I were in the parking lot of the Bojangles on E. 23rd in Chattanooga eating chicken & biscuits when the news came on the radio. It was such a shock. I remember for days our family was glued to the TV tuning into everything MJ. When his memorial service happened, my little brother came in my room and was bawling as soon as MJ’s casket was rolled into the stadium. I went and bought a DVD that had all of his music videos and wore it out. At the time I didn’t understand how he could die so quickly, but as I grew up and learned more about his death and propofol, it all made sense. The false accusations and his drug use was the definitive factor in his death. It was too soon, he was supposed to have a COMEBACK, however the fates had a different plan.
