Clear? Definite? Doesn’t sound like it, to me, if she’s resorting to hitchhiking… she should have arranged a pickup or something on her arrival. Her only plan was the goal of making it to the cousin’s house…

This beautiful young lady should still be with us living her best life. Please, please, please, don’t hitchhike, especially the ladies. I cringe when people say (I live in the US) that the 70’s-90’s were a different time and hitchhiking was safe. It has never, ever been safe. In the US in those decades we had so many serial killers actively picking up and murdering hitchhikers, especially in California and the Pacific Northwest. I always try to warn people in stories like this but I usually get told I worry too much and a case like this is rare. Let me ask anybody thinking of still hitchhiking : If you are murdered by the driver who picks you up will it matter to your poor Mother and Father that you were a rare case?! DON’T HITCHHIKE!
