The defense attorney KNEW Karmello has no self defense claim. That’s why he wasn’t forced to go on the stand. They had nothing to prove that he did it in self defense. They didn’t want to touch that with a 10 ft pole because they knew he didn’t because he was scared. He did it because he was looking for trouble. And the defense knew that

Court TV’s coverage right after the guilty right after the verdict was embarrassingly terrible. All 3 guests and the host were just like: Wow. This is dumb. Judge is dumb. Jury is dumb. Shameful
After witnessing that disgusting panel yesterday trying to justify Karmelo Anthonys actions I unsubscribed from Court TV. It was highly inappropriate! Saying it was only a 4″ inch knife and he only stabbed Austin once. It only takes one well placed stab to the chest to kill someone. I never heard there needs to be so many stab wounds before you can charge for murder!
That lawyer saying Hunter Metcalf should have testified and if “he cared about justice for his brother he would have” I was appalled listening to him calling the judge stupid for not allowing cameras in the courtroom.
First of all, the judge most likely barred cameras because his first job is to protect the jury and the trial process!
I have seen a trial where the camera panned and caught the jury and also saw a trial where the judge called out the names of jurors on television. I completely understand why cameras were not allowed.
There has been a few high profile trials that didn’t allow cameras in, this wasn’t the first time!
Secondly, the State of Texas maybe asked Hunter not to testify because it was part of their legal strategy. It was evident based on the quick verdict and the evidence they did not need Hunter to testify because the evidence was so overwhelming!
That lawyer should not be invited back because his comments were completely out of line!
