Jim, please… He didn’t injure himself on the backhand volley, he first noticed something wasn’t ok when he hit the backhand volley after the serve where it first happened. Then he ripped it further with the serve afterwards. The serve motion is also the one which loads and puts strain on the pec muscle, not the backhand volley.
In what instance do players get protected rankings being out injured? Some do and some dont?
