YOU WILL FIND HOPE IN THIS COMMENT!!! If you were to die today and were to stand before God and He were to ask you “Why should I let you into Heaven?” What would you say to Him? Most people would try to immediately say the good things that they did on this earth or things they have done should be the reason I get into Heaven. Some people would say I lived a horrible life. The answers would vary but there is hope for every single type of person on this earth.
The Bible is clear that nothing we do can get us into Heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
While it is great that we do good things, the Bible is very clear that those good things cannot get us into Heaven.
I am going to walk you through what the Bible says the only way to Heaven is
1. We are all sinners.
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
A sin is something we do wrong. So if you have ever done something you shouldn’t have done, lied, stole, dishonored your parents, cheated, said something you shouldn’t have said, or thought something you shouldn’t have thought etc. The Truth is every one of us have sinned and the Bible says because of that sin, we have fallen short of God’s glory. God is holy and perfect and cannot sin. But we as His creation, have deliberately chosen to disobey him and rebel against Him.
2. Because we are sinners, there is a penalty that we have to pay for that sin.
Romans 6:23 a says “For the wages of sin is death…”
Now a wage is something that we earn so if I were to work a job, I would earn money, and that money is the wages for what I worked. In the same way, the wages for our sin is death. Now this is not just a physical death, but it is an eternal death and separation from God in a very real place called Hell. Now Hell is a horrible place and it’s a place that burns with fire and brimstone and where the worm doesn’t die. Now unfortunately, each and every one of us deserve to go there to pay for our sins. We have rebelled against God and cannot be in fellowship with Him if we die with our sins because God is perfect and Holy and cannot be around sin. Now this is really bad news isn’t it? BUT, THERE IS GOOD NEWS!!!
3. Even though we are sinners, God sent his son Jesus Christ to this earth to die for our sins.
Romans 6:23b says …but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 says “But God commendeth (showed) His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God loved you and me so much even though we sinned against Him, that he sent His son Jesus to give his life for us. Jesus was 100% man and 100% God at the same time and lived a perfect life. He allowed himself to be killed by the Romans. He was beaten and battered and tortured for us and was crucified on the cross and bore each and every one of our sins on that cross. He shed his perfect sinless blood for us to pay for our sins. Jesus died, was buried, and He didn’t stay buried, because 3 days later He rose from the grave conquering death and hell. This is the good news and the reason that we do not have to go to Hell if we don’t want too. Now there is one thing you must do to be able to go to Heaven.
4. If we trust Jesus as our only hope for Heaven, He will save us and take us to Heaven when we die.
John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth (trusteth, putteth faith in, rely on) in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Now a common mishap in this verse is applying our modern definition for believe into this verse which means to intellectually believe something to be true. Now the actual definition for believe is to have faith in, and the Greek word for believe that the original writers used was Pisteuo, which means to trust, rely on, and when referring to salvation, it means entrusting ones soul to someone. So the Bible is clear that intellectual agreement to facts about Jesus or that He existed is not what saves. It is a personal trust in Him as your Savior from Hell that saves you. Romans 10:13 tells us that “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” This calling out to God for salvation is what naturally follows a heart that has trusted Him. The words are not what save you but rather a way to express your heart felt trust in the Savior.

If you will trust Christ as your Savior, believing that he died, was buried and rose again, you will be saved.
Consider saying this prayer to express your faith in Christ as your Savior. Now keep in mind that the words are not a magical formula that saves you, but instead it is you meaning and trusting Christ truly in your heart that saves you.

Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and because of my sin I deserve to go to Hell. But I believe you died and rose again to pay for my sins, and right now I am trusting you as my only hope for Heaven. I am relying on you to get me to Heaven and I ask you to please come into my heart and save me. Thank you for saving me. Amen.

Now if you just trusted Christ in your heart and meant it, the Bible says you can KNOW that you have eternal life. Here are some verses to help with that assurance of your salvation!
I John 5:12-13
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
John 5:24
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
The Bible is very clear that once you trust Christ, the Holy Spirit of God comes to live inside of you and you will never ever perish. We are regenerated and born again into God’s eternal family and are his children. Nothing we ever do can remove us from his family just like nothing I ever do can remove me from my biological parents. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. We can never ever lose our salvation no matter what we do. Now that you are saved, start to grow your relationship with God by reading the KJV Bible and praying. Try to find a good fundamental Baptist church to go to to help you grow in your new faith. Thank you for reading this and taking the time to make the most important decision you will ever make!!!
