📰 Geoffrey Hinton—widely known as the “Godfather of AI”—responded to Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s dismissal of his existential risk warnings by defending his 10% to 20% estimate for potential AI-driven human extinction as a vital safety caution rather than a precise prediction.

The ai company needs to be completely liable and if they can’t afford paying off the damages the ceo should be put in jail. I know SF tech works they will purposefully do dangerous stuff to be “interruptive” to the industry” you have to put strong guardrails here they won’t self police on any level and will look for ways to break the rules without getting caught.

This man is Frankenstein. He hates his creation. Trump is right about superintelligence. And he supports nuclear power. They feed off each other. Its symbiosis. Hinton supports Sanders and Hinton knows that the Green New Deal makes non sense. Worse, in opposing nuclear power, Sanders is literally trying to starve Hintont’s own creation. And h hates Trump, who supports the AI nuke power symbiosis. Hinton is twisted.

That is the reason people excuse themselves from decisions that have conflict of interest. All these tech billionaires should just shut their mouths when there is a conflict of interest.

I very much appreciate Geoffrey Hinton’s opinion based on his knowledge and experience, and I do think it’s entirely appropriate to be looking at boundaries and training focus for Ai now vs. later when it will be too late.

I love the idea that our survival as a species, rests on our being kind, supportive, compassionate, empathetic, and understanding with each other, thereby teaching our developing Ai to do the same.🩷🌸

I think it’s funny that they continue on making stuff that they claim that will take us out. They act like they’re teenagers doing a science experiment for school and they screwed up. By the way, people are working very hard. It seems like China might be doing better.

since people getting more and more stupid by the day,
Trump actually accidently could be right with his term “Super-intelligence” , just not the way he intended 😂

You cannot expect AI to not go rogue without external constraints if it follows data in which humans had a significant role in formulation And we all know the history of humankind’s rogue acts.
