Girl Defined started out as a Christian blog between two sheltered sisters named Bethany and Kristen, and slowly devolved into a way for the sisters to promote merchandise, courses and conferences. Eventually, Bethany began to produce even more courses for her audience… even asking them to buy her gifts off her baby registry. Kristen would post about being unsatisfied in her own life as well. The sisters were spiraling downwards, but the question this video truly tries to answer through it all is- is the sisters’ greed and unhappiness a consequence of their own doing, or the making of a matriarchal figure lurking in the shadows, controlling the girl defined platform, as a sibling of their family has allegedly claimed?
