Skydivers Marco Fürst and Marco Waltenspiel became the first people to wingsuit fly through London’s iconic Tower Bridge. The two wingsuiters reached a top speed of 246 km/h in their dive over the river Thames before performing a complex aerial maneuver known as a flare to fly upwards after the close proximity of Tower Bridge to safely open their parachutes 🪂

I’ve got one for you , jump out of a helicopter up high just like this but do it on the outside of the Hoover dam wall or some other dam wall , get your speed up and drop down below the top of the wall before flaring up and stalling , if judged or calculated correctly you could rise up fast and then just drop 30ft or so into the water , I’m not sure how much of the horizontal speed can be removed by flaring , I’ve seen other wingsuit flyers climb I think about 180ft or so and they seemed to have lost nearly all of the horizontal speed component

Cool! But what if you have an bird strike in mid-air (colliding with an flying bird) while wingsuit flying?
Will you be able to react quickly enough to deploy your parachute in time? 🐦
