The U.S. World Cup campaign took a surprising turn when FIFA suspended Folarin Balogun’s red-card ban, allowing him to play against Belgium in Monday’s last-16 match. The decision followed a personal request from President Donald Trump to FIFA President Gianni Infantino. Rohith Nair has more.

Why do none of the videos show the footage of the actual event?
I’ve never sided with Trump on anything except this. Why should Messi get away with it when his was clearly intentional? Balogun’s was accidental but he gets a red card when Messi didn’t even get a warning. FIFA is corrupt, that’s obvious but Trump made the right call in this case. Other nations can petition their red card cases as well if they want to.
Check recinded red card Brazil 1962.
VAR is suppose to watch at real speed, not slomo or still images.
So mamy things done wrong by the refs.
Trump is about as disgusting a human as exists, but that play happened too fast to be deliberate.
