The Federal Reserve leaves interest rates unchanged in a range of 3.5% to 3.75%. But four officials voted against the decision. It’s the first time since 1992 that there were four dissents. Bloomberg’s Michael McKee reports.

    If the economy is expanding appropriately and inflation is high we should be raising rates! So keeping rates the same means they’re lying about the motivations. They know the economy is on much worse footing than the headline numbers say but aren’t talking about the elephant in the room

    If they lower the rate (usually meant to help the economy) then inflation will rise even more, which would hurt the economy even worse. Learn from Bush W, who helped keep the rate low for too long causing a housing and banking and mortgage bubble. And look at what happened on his last year in office in 2008.

    inflation is out of control

    stupid to cut the interest rates and flood the economy with even more dollars

    only those deeply in debt and facing foreclosure could want a rate cut now

    debtors love paying down debt with devalued dollars

    If Trump wants the Fed to cut rates he may want to end this war, will be tough to justify rate cuts with rising oil prices
