As far as Austin’s dad showing face at a PUBLIC press conference, it wasn’t disrespectful. Your son is still breathing mine isn’t. I should be able to show face wherever I please. Awkward yes, inappropriate DEPENDING on his reason for being there, yes. Disrespectful, no. And if this was a racial situation, I still don’t see the justification of catching a knife to the chest. Carmelo was not being jumped by multiple people where he could say he was legitimately fearing for his life. He really made a very poor choice and I really feel bad for him. 😢
