Back when, an album was a journey from start to finish and not just a collection of singles and b-sides, topped with fillers to bump up the listening time.
1/2waybetweenthegutterandthestars was also well worthy of playing from start to finish. My brain has been conditioned to hear those songs as part of an album and not as individual tracks because of this.

Dance music albums were 3 hits and a ballad?
The Prodigy, Leftfield and The Chemical Brothers would like to have a word.
