The Mogilles family, the family behind McHardy’s Chicken and Fixin’, has been frying chicken in New Orleans’ Seventh Ward since 2000 (https://youtu.be/lBDBhlwPtdI). What started from Grandma’s secret fried chicken recipe has evolved into three generations working together under one roof, day in and day out. At the center of it all is Rahman, who single-handedly fries every piece of chicken, along with his two daughters, his mother, and his father. It’s not always easy running a business with family, but the rewards far outweigh the challenges.

I went to McHardys 3 years ago when I was visiting NO and Rahman was in the kitchen cooking. This ain’t for show, buddy was in the kitchen putting in work. Very solid chicken, no frills spot just good food.

It would be amazing to work for these folks. Rahman’s pretty damn funny. If he ever gets tired of cooking, he’d make it as a comedian.

I went there yesterday after a couple years wachting this occasionally… Man it slapped! I payed $8,37 for 5 good pieces of chicken… Bruh back in the netherlands that would be at least 20$!! And it wont be this good man! This tasted almost the same like Naskip in my homecountry Surinam! 🇸🇷🇸🇷 So good!! Gonna go back tomorrow!
