Since this is a sport, not a war: sportsmanship > brotherhood
The players are not the employees of FIFA. He has no right to burden them to this much work.
48 is enough for now. We literally just gone up to 48, leave it now. I think most people would agree 48 was fun to watch
If Infantino gets his way and we have a 64 country WC played every 2 years, what happens to all those other regional tournaments (Euro, Afcon, Copa America, Nations League etc). The qualification rounds become less meaningful and a surely legal issue, who’ll be those extra countries? This is just a financial wheeze between FIFA and local FAs. UEFA needs to act forcefully against FIFA.
Thanks very much Messi …for making even greater and example to follow a CR7 !!!
64 teams will be great but the draw and knockout brackets have to be fair unlike this time. Seemed like they were making made up rules when placing a team from one pot to another. The right side of the knockout bracket was full of weaker teams. I believe that is by design… finally, refs were much more unfair with lower ranked teams. If you gonna do those, please hold the world cup with your favorite 16 teams…!!!
