Excavations have unearthed clues to the ancient Egyptians’ elaborate burial practices, but nothing like this funeral home has ever been found before.

Rip Ramadan and John Ward
I desperately wanted to be an archaeologist when I was a kid. It didn’t happen, but I’m happy to know there were still things to discover. I’d like to know how they discovered shaft K24.
Seeing no thyroid protectors while tjey are xraying makes me anxious. Hopefully they use them now

Sorry just 21st grave robbers, should be left rest in peace 😢😢
No. The business of embalming and burials was not up to those who profited from it. The desert is vast in Egypt. There was no need to reuse tombs.
The poor soul buried next to the “Rolls Royce” tomb was his loyal servant, who chose to be buried next to his master.
1. How did they dog that shaft and chambers out? And 2. As small as the chambers are , how did they fit enough workers down there to lift a 5 ton lid? They had to put it on there.
So heart breaking! I can’t get over it.
