Do you think that Ian Chesterton would of been a better character than the Brig in the story which was the original idea
I love the brig in it but yes it wouldβve been very interesting to have Ian in there
One fact about the krotons one of the episodes was filmed on 35mm film so it’s in true hd
Recently watched The Ambassadors of Death and thought it quite good, but obviously nothing works for everyone.

She hated the tv movie and found it lacked the eccentricity of the main show!
I actually like The Krotons, although I never saw it back in the day so I can’t compare with earlier impressions. I like the Krotons themselves, I like the characters, and I like the plot.
My favorite thing about the Krotons is the hilarity that they have bred out of their human subjects the very thing they desperately need. They need to suck out smart brain juice out of their victims, right? So they identify the smartest humans, and suck out their smart brain juice when they’re at an age just BEFORE they have children. Over generations and generations, their captive human population has gotten dumber and dumber. INSERT SURPRISED PIKACHU FACE.
OMG, sometimes you think the Doctor is up against a formidable invasion force of malevolent aliens and it turns out they’re just a handful of weirdos who have no clue.
The Zygons have the excuse that they were just whatever random survivors survived a crash landed ship and they also happened to be too stupid to figure out how to fix their ship or send a signal over centuries and centuries. They make the crew of Giligan’s Island look like geniuses. But hey, if they were smart enough to send a signal for help, or to fix their ship, then they would have already done so ages ago.
The State of Decay space vampires have had their brains addled by literally decaying for thousands of years. And that’s okay, since they’re not in any particular hurry to complete their mission anyway.
But these Krotons take the cake. They’re just so self-destructively stupid I’m cackling.
Ambassadors of Death? Yeah, that one’s pretty weak. I liked it okay, but I just had to shake my head every time UNIT security just plain sucks.
I like Mawdryn Undead a lot. The main thing is that it’s one of the few Classic Who stories that are about time travel. Besides that, it just gets more and more hilarious every rewatch at how pathetically poor a choice Turlough was, to be the instrument of the Black Guardian’s revenge. Was the Black Guardian part Kroton?

I’m absolutely with you that season seven has an amazing feel to it and is possibly my favourite era

Season 7 is wonderful, it feels like nothing that came before or after. I love that Jon Pertwee plays the Doctor in a less confident, much quieter way – something that totally changes from Season 8 onwards!
My story would be Logopolis! Loved it when I was younger, but rewatches have made me realise it’s a bit boring, and it feels like a really flat story for the 4th Doctor to go out on!
